People say that world’s gone paused
but it doesn’t feel
like that to me. My student
just admited to me she
talks to people
I can’t see. A patient I called
wonders how he
is supposed to be okay
with the fact he
might never see his wife’s body.

as they goddamned please.
It is only us
and our ability to react
that is stuck in quarantine.
